I thrive on forging strategic alliances and working creatively and collectively, helping groups to raise their profile, to respond successfully to issues, challenges and change, and become even more relevant within their specific communities and within the community at large.”

As part of The Talent, Deborah will work to drive innovation in private, public, and not for profit organizations. She brings her passion for the arts and a commitment to fostering creative and resilient change to the development of effective stakeholder engagement strategies.

Deborah’s passion lies in community building and she has volunteered extensively over the past 25 years sharing her ideas, expertise and energy for the benefit of the community. She has served on the City of Waterloo’s Cultural Advisory Committee, the board of THEMUSEUM, the board of Open Streets Uptown Waterloo, the campaign team of Supportive Housing of Waterloo, and has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region, Hope Spring Cancer Support Centre initial campaign, Magnetic North Theatre Festival and Out of the Cold Homeless Shelter. Currently Deborah serves as the Vice Chair of the board of directors of The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation.
